When it comes to dressing for the 38924 holiday parties we have this month, we don’t want to always wear color. Obviously, it’s the holidays and you want to look festive. But you can still look chic without going with bold colors. We both tend to gravitate towards darker colors anyways. We had a holiday event the other night and Mike wore an all-black look. It was still winter appropriate, but it also added a chic element to the festive look. We usually go for this type of look if it’s a bit more of a dressy event or party. Or even a holiday dinner.

Up top, Mike went with a black knit turtleneck. We are both obsessed with turtlenecks and for some reason, they get a bad wrap?? Why?? If you are on the fence, try it! Honestly, it’s a go-to piece in our winter wardrobe. For the pant situation, a black chino is always a good choice — classic and won’t ever fail you. As far as shoes, Mike wore a classic black loafer. The brass horsebit detail helps add some contrast and elegance. Now since it is winter, ankles out is not the best choice anymore — you know we love that look lol. Rolling the chinos and adding a black sock adds another element to the look. Going with the same color sock as shoes during the winter is something we are doing a lot more lately. We really dig this look. What do you think??
