It’s always a good time for a cocktail, right? At least that’s what we always say! You guys know our love for rosé. A glass (or two) is pretty much always in at least one of our IG stories. It’s the perfect drink for summer! That’s why we were SO excited when we stumbled upon this recipe for a WINE COCKTAIL that included rosé. Um, sign us up! We decided to put our own twist on the recipe by turning it into somewhat of a spritzer. This makes it even better for those hot summer days. Nothing beats lounging by the pool with a drink. Friends with pools, you’ve been warned. We’re coming over all summer long. The original recipe can be found here. This wine cocktail is perfect for a summer BBQ with friends and family. It’s light and super refreshing. As we sit here writing this post, we’re really craving a glass. Brb going to make one…or two. Cheers!

INGREDIENTS

1 pint fresh blackberries, plus 12 extra berries for garnish

5 ounces Simple Syrup, chilled – see directions below

1 (750-milliliter) bottle dry rosé wine (chilled)

9 ounces vodka (chilled)

6 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice

Ice

12 thinly sliced lime wheels, for garnish

1/2 bottle (750 ml) sparkling water

Simple Syrup

1 Cup Cold Water

1 Cup Granulated Sugar

Heat water and sugar in a small saucepan, stirring until the sugar has dissolved

Cool completely and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine blackberries and simple syrup in a large pitcher and muddle until the fruit is crushed and juicy. Don’t completely pulverize the fruit. This should take about 1 minute. Add rosé, vodka, sparkling water and lime juice. Stir to combine.
  2. Place a fine-mesh strainer over a punch bowl and strain the mixture into the bowl. Add large block of ice to punch bowl. Pour cocktails into wine glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and fresh blackberries.
