Hey friends! Can you believe the weekend is already over?! Rather than dreading the start of a new week, it’s important to start the week with a positive attitude. Well, that and a new mask! This week’s #MaskMonday is the Origins Drink Up mask. You might remember us talking about a similar mask earlier this year. As you can imagine, this product is all about hydration. Though we both don’t have super dry skin, we still need to think about moisture. This mask is meant to be worn for 10 minutes to give your skin a quick, intense boost of hydration. Since we both don’t always suffer from dry skin, we like to use this after a drying mask. Charcoal and clay masks help pull out toxins and dirt but usually leave your skin dry. That’s why following it up with a hydrating mask helps replenish that lost moisture and soothe your skin. We really like how this product makes our skin feel. The active ingredient in this mask is apricot. That means this product smells AMAZING. Truly, we want to eat this mask every time we throw it on. Obviously, you don’t want to do that. But that does make you want to use the mask again and again. We also love how this mask really does hydrate our skin. The apricot helps soothe and soften our skin. We tend to leave this on for more than 10 minutes. We like to make sure we are getting the most of the product. We usually leave it on for 20 minutes then rinse it off.
Though we do use this as a follow-up mask, it would be great for those that suffer from dry skin. We suggest using this 2-3 times a week. Not that we’re trying to rush winter (or the snow), this is an amazing mask to have on hand during the colder months. You guys know that the cold weather dries your skin, which can lead to breakouts and irritation. This mask does a good job at helping fight those issues. Overall, we really do like this mask. It really does a great job at hydrating and soothing our skin. If you’re looking for a solid mask that helps with dry skin, this mask is for you!
Have you tried this mask before? Let us know what you think in the comments below! Until next time…
