TRANSITIONING TO SPRING WITH LIGHTER LAYERS

Spring is (hopefully) around the corner. Mother Nature has been all over the place lately. Some days it’s warm and in the 60’s and other days, it feels like we’re in the Tundra lol. Hopefully, we really are on the right track and the warm weather is almost here.

Since the warm weather has been here lately, we’ve been able to wear lighter layers and show those ankles without freezing. This is the best way to transition during this weird time. You don’t want to freeze but you also don’t want to start sweating if the sun decides to show its face. Can you say #firstworldproblems? But seriously, it can be a struggle. That’s why we always go with light layers. This allows you to be flexible. Take a layer off if you’re feeling warm or throw a layer on if you start to get the chills — that last one literally always applies to Alex.

One option Mike’s wearing is a light sweater and leather jacket. The sweater isn’t wool or anything super heavy. Adding the leather jacket elevates the look and serves as extra insulation. You can always take it off throughout the day.

Another option, seen on Alex, is a super light button-down and topcoat. Obviously, topcoats are on the heavier side. That’s why you definitely don’t want to pair it with a thick sweater. Button-downs are super light and if it’s oversized, super airy.

We both also LOVE cropped or rolled chinos. It’s another fun way to transition to the warmer weather. PSA: Zara has some of the best cropped chinos if you’re on the hunt. We literally own the same style in multiple colors. You guys know the feeling of finding pants that fit so well. Why not buy a few colors, right?!

We’re so ready for the warm weather to be here. Luckily, we’re going to California next week so we’ll get a taste of the sun for a week. We can’t wait!
