As we continue into the fall season, the layers are slowly starting to pile on. Something we aren’t opposed to since this is our favorite time of year. We’re able to be a bit more creative with the looks we wear. We’ve been slowly editing our closet to make room for some new fall pieces. Even though we do have some staple stores we tend to gravitate towards, we do like to discover new brands or lines that might have just recently been released. We were so surprised and intrigued when we saw Walmart’s new Free Assembly brand. We’re always honest with you and don’t mind sharing that we haven’t really thought about Walmart as a fashion destination. But with the creation of this new brand, they are trying to change that mindset. We’re always excited to discover something new so this really piqued our interest.
One of the key parts of this brand is its commitment to sustainability. Most of the cotton used is organic, which avoids fertilizers and pesticides. It’s also produced in LEED Certified facilities that aim to protect the environment. This is all extremely important to us. Big fans already!
As good as all that sounds, the actual designs have to live up or it doesn’t really matter, right? We can honestly say we are very impressed with the styles. We’ve been leaning into deeper colors lately — almost like the military-style. Olive green, camo, cargo — you know that vibe. This brand clearly caught onto the trend, too. We pulled together two looks that really leaned into the fall style. Neutral colors, layers, and light wash denim.
