Creating a Holiday Entryway

No matter how big or small your entryway is, you can always find a way to make it festive. It’s the first area you set your eyes on when you walk through the door. It’s your first chance to set the holiday mood. We don’t have a large foyer or separate entryway in this house. Instead, we created a little entryway by using the back of the sectional. This made for a mini hallway when you walk in the house.

A quick refresher: the cabinet we have is from CB2. We got it on major sale at the outlet in New Jersey. If you haven’t checked it out yet, go!! It’s amazing! On top of the cabinet, we have a Sara Sidari print. Those are the staple pieces in the entryway. To make things festive, we did a few things. We absolutely love fresh garland. Pro tip: go to Produce Junction if you have one nearby. We bought all of our garland and wreaths from there this year. We added a strand of garland on top of the print to add a festive touch.

For the top of the cabinet, we first started with ornaments. We used a marble bowl and filled it with gold ornaments. We used various sizes to make a statement. Fun fact: we JUST broke one of the large ornaments lol. RIP. On the other side of the cabinet, we added a wicker tree. Or at least that’s how we describe it. It balances out the cabinet since the ornaments are a statement. We obviously added a candle, too. The last piece of the holiday entryway is a vintage find. We found this glass Christmas tree dish at a vintage store in Alex’s hometown. That’s another good tip — check out vintage shops for holiday decorations. You’d be surprised at what you can find.

So there you have it — our holiday entryway. Let us know what you think!
