EVERYDAY BREAKFAST

Last week we talked about our morning latte and how it truly is an experience for us. We wanted to stick to the morning trend for today’s blog post. When it comes to breakfast, we typically make the same thing every morning. It’s super simple — eggs and avocado. There’s a little bit more to it but that’s the main gist. When it comes to eggs, we only buy pasture-raised. That means the hens were able to roam freely on the farm without being confined. It’s easy to think cage-free means the same thing but it doesn’t. The hens can still be confined. The best brand we’ve found is Vital Farms. They taste the best and we know the hens are treated the way they should be.

When making the eggs, we use three total eggs but only one yolk. This helps lower the amount of cholesterol and makes it a bit healthier. We whip it up with turmeric, dill, thyme, and oregano. It really makes a huge difference when you use fresh herbs in your food. We also add salt and pepper to finish things off. Once the eggs are finished cooking, we top with fresh avocado. It’s no surprise how much we love avocado anything. Avocado is full of healthy fats so it’s a good start to the day.
