We are both big snackers. We could easily eat an entire bag of chips in one sitting lol (hello, cape cod chips). That’s why we always try to come up with healthier snacks so we don’t feel so guilty. Plus, it’s important to fill your body with healthy ingredients instead of chips or cookies all the time. Though we do eat those too – it’s all about balance!
Dates have always been one type of food we eat regularly. There are a ton of health benefits in this tiny treat.

You can buy both pitted and non-pitted dates though we prefer the pitted. It makes it easier when you can just pop one in your mouth without having to worry about a pit inside. Eating dates by themselves is a good enough snack but we like to take it a step further. We like to drizzle peanut butter on top then sprinkle on some coconut flakes. This way we add in a bit more protein and flavor. It also feels like we are eating a dessert but we don’t feel guilty when we eat more than a few… #HealthyDessert
