  • one of my goals for 2020 is to take control over the opportunities and challenges that I know I can, and not let the things I can’t control get to me.

  • For 2020, I want to start taking more time for myself. I realized that with work becoming more demanding, I am less likely to get to sleep on time, eat healthy and improve my mental health.
    This year, I will get work done and make sure I have enough time left to be emotionally & physically well.

  • My 2020 goal is to focus more on myself professionally. As I am completing my undergrad, preparing for my boards, and looking forward to starting a career as an RN, I want to learn how to have a more assertive and affirmative character. Also, something that’s difficult for me to do is asking for help or accepting help, even when I don’t need it. I feel like by focusing on these aspects of myself, it will prevent me from experiencing burn out as a new grad and improve my overall professional confidence. Thanks Alex and Mike!   • For 2020, my main goal is to be more socially conscious of my day to day purchases. I have also decided to become a vegetarian. There are so many plant based options now, and it’s produced so much more sustainably than meat.

  • 2020 is the year of more empathy, more kindness, and more motivation. Leave all negativity – inward negativity towards myself or outward negativity towards others – and replace it with positive thinking. Don’t be afraid to be a bit cheesy with the ones I love and express it without fear of judgment.

  • One of my biggest 2020 goals is to stop comparing myself to others. It’s unhealthy to judge myself against other unrealistic facades we see all the time via social media.

  • A goal of mine for 2020 is to deeply dive into self care and really make an effort to make myself a priority. Spending a portion of each day doing things that will better myself and make me happy. Things as simple as going to bed early or turning off my phone and get off social media. I have spent so many years putting others first because I never wanted to come off as selfish, but I’ve realized that saying no to plans/invitations and looking out for my own mental health is not selfish.

  • Going into 2020 loving more of me. Self love is something that is so critical but something that can easily be neglected. Being kind to myself, making time for myself, & ultimately allowing myself to flourish and thrive in who I am without fear of rejection from outside influences.

  • 2020 goal is take care of myself more and improve my overall health I always feel selfish saying that but I’m a mom of two little ones, who is working and going to school so I’m exhausted 🤪 such an awesome giveaway!

  • I like to do 30-60-90 day goals. I find it is more achievable for me and less daunting! So here they are.

    30 day – finish whole30
    60 day – Sign up for piano lessons (I want to Start to learn how to play the piano this year)
    90 day – finish 3 books

    In March I will reset or extend my 30-60-90! So happy to have found your blog and loving being here in Philly!

    You’re a huge inspiration to us, and it’s often that we find ourselves saying “that’s a total Alex and Mike __________.” (insert design trend/outfit) Even our friends have caught on!

    For 2020 we’re looking to be more conscious and take our time. We both lead such active lifestyles that sometimes we just need to take a step back and evaluate the decisions we are making. You can get so caught up in the moment, and we’re total victims! Once we got into the new house, we started what feels like 100 projects. We’ve since toned it back and are focusing on one space a time. It all really stems back to just taking our time and enjoying each other vs constantly being in work/gym mode!

  • I’m hoping to focus on myself my health and being better not only for myself but for the people around me. Really working this year on my mindfulness and happiness and making it a priority. The past years taught me a lot about making the things that matter a priority and not getting caught up in things that ultimately don’t matter. Very happy and hopeful for this year.
