As most of you guys already know, we were so excited to attend Dîner en Blanc for the first time last week. If you aren’t familiar with this event, no worries. Not everyone has heard of this pop-up dinner. Here’s a little snippet from the official website:
“Founded in 2012, Dîner en Blanc International is responsible for developing this secret posh picnic in close to 80 cities in 30 countries around the world with close 120,000 participants. The largest and most internationally recognized Le Dîner en Blanc remains the original Paris event. Launched in 1988 by François Pasquier and his close friends, Le Dîner en Blanc de Paris attracts nearly 10,000 people annually”
It’s a super fun event that brings so many people together. Guests are asked to bring their own supplies — chairs, table, linens, food, drinks, etc. — to a secret location. This location is announced right before the event begins. Guests must dress elegantly in head-to-toe white. If all of these rules sound crazy, we totally get it. It seems like a lot, and it is. But all of this comes together to create such a fun and spontaneous dinner in the middle of the city. City hall was the secret location this year. How many people can say they had dinner and drinks with their friends in the middle of city hall?! So fun, right?!
We were two of the fashion judges this year for the “most elegantly dressed men” category. We walked around the space and each picked out two guys that stood out the most to us. Truly, everyone looked incredible. The creativity people had was unreal. After we chose the winners, we danced the night away with our friends. We seriously had so much fun! If you’ve never attended Dîner en Blanc, we highly suggest adding it to your list. It’s something you really do have to experience to appreciate.
Let us know if you’ve been to this event before in the comments below! Until next time…
